Prior to Science Castle Kanto\/KansaiOn November 4-5, 2020, 15 teams from 5 countries presented their research results, which ranged from research on familiar wonders to research aimed at solving global problems. Starting this year, the format was changed from a method of judging the presentations of research results on the day of the event to a discussion format in which the researchers returned feedback from the students on how they analyzed the results of their research, their approaches, and future prospects after each presentation by the junior and senior high school students in each session that was based on the theme of the event.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, as a special session before the start of the main program,<\/span>Tsunagu Research Project<\/span><\/a>program. In this context, three teams from three different countries currently participating in the project gave presentations and shared their impressions of their research activities and international collaborations with the participants.<\/span><\/p>\n

The following 15 teams will present at the 2020 Science Castle ASEAN; one team will be selected from these teams on Friday, November 13, and will be entitled to participate online in the Super Interdisciplinary Conference Singapore on February 27, 2021. Through this participation, we aim to inspire middle and high school students in their research activities by allowing them to see, hear, and think about the various forms in which they can contribute to the planet as researchers. We also believe that this will be an opportunity for active researchers to gain new approaches and perspectives through interactions that transcend not only different fields and industries, but also different generations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, the format of the event will be a combination of on-site and online.<\/span><\/p>\n

We plan to announce the theme announcement for 2021 around the time Science Castle Kanto is held in December. The theme announcement and application period will be posted on the Science Castle page.<\/span><\/p>\n
