Hello! I am sure that many of you students are spending your days at home because of the school closure due to the spread of the coronavirus. On this page, we would like to take this opportunity to share with you three steps that you can take to get a head start on your exploratory activities while staying at home!<\/p>\n

STEP 2
\nTry to set the direction of your research<\/b><\/b><\/h1>\n

Once you have seen a variety of videos and have a sense of where your interests are headed, it is time to shape your interests. Join us on the web to learn how to generate ideas using multiple methods.<\/span><\/p>\n

What we recommend here is Mandalat. Mandalat is derived from the Buddhist mandala pattern, and is a tool for organizing and expanding ideas and deepening thinking by making cells that look like a mandala pattern and writing ideas in each of the cells.<\/p>\n

\nAll you need is a large piece of paper with a 9\u27159 grid on it. Let's give it a try!

\u301cHow to create a ~research mandala<\/strong><\/h2>\n

First, put the thing or things you are interested in in the center.<\/p>\n

2. write around things and things related to the things and things you are interested in

3. expand to the surrounding squares.<\/p>\n

4. Create \"questions\" Create questions for the central object or thing
\n\u21d2 In the \"I want to know\" direction: Why? How much? How?
\n\u21d2 In the case of \"want to make\" direction: Can you make a \u25a1\u25a1\u25a1 that does \u25ef\u25ef\u25ef?

STEP 3
\nFind out what research middle and high school student researchers have actually done.<\/b><\/b><\/h1>\n

Once you have a sense of interest and direction from the first two steps, it is time to dig deeper into your research. To do this, look through the abstracts of the \"Science Castle,\" a conference for junior and senior high school students that has been held since 2012. You will be able to see the research themes and research content that the same junior and senior high school student researchers as you are working on.<\/span><\/p>\n

I didn't know they did this kind of experiment! and knowing about past research will help you to think more concretely about your own research theme and the content of your experiments.<\/span><\/p>\n
