<Objectives of the experiment<\/h3>\n

Verify that soil mixed with Lipomyces (soil inhabitant yeast), which produces polysaccharides, has improved water retention and has become a good soil.<\/p>\n

<What to prepare<\/h3>\n

Centrifuge tube: Capacity 50ml, Length 114.7mm, Outer diameter 29mm
\n*Use only tubes.
\nBeaker, etc.
\nKomagome pipette: 10~20mL
\nStopwatch

Drill a hole in the bottom of the tube using a drill or similar tool.
\nPlace a paper disk slightly larger than the hole in the bottom or a round piece of filter paper inside.

Place equal amounts of the soil examined in each tube.
\nPlace the tube on top of a beaker or other container as shown in the figure below.

Using a 10~20mL piece pipette, drop the same amount of water into the top of the tube at the same time.
