Conference for middle and high school students \".Science Castle<\/a><\/strong>started in 2012 as a \"gateway to success for researchers\" and has now become a place for research community where more than 1,000 middle and high school students with a passion for research and the next generation of ultra-high school researchers gather from all over the country. In addition to junior and senior high and high school students, a variety of people from different generations and fields, including university and corporate researchers, graduate students, and venture capitalists, gather here to not only discuss with junior and senior high and high school student researchers, but also to engage in interactive discussions about what contributions they can make to the future that they both hope to realize. In this way, our goal is to use Science Castle as a catalyst to connect next-generation researchers with society, and to serve as a place where researchers who are active in society can leave their nests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since last year, this activity has expanded beyond Japan to Southeast Asia, with the first Asian Congress held in Malaysia in October 2023, bringing together a total of 400 next-generation researchers and faculty from seven countries. This year's second Asian Congress brought together a total of 1,500 participants from nine countries to share their passion for research. In addition, the three teams from Southeast Asia that achieved outstanding results at this year's Fall Asian Games will be invited to participate in the Science Castle 2024 Osaka-Kansai on December 21, where they will interact with Japanese junior and senior high school students through research.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the coming year, Science Castle's Next Generation Researchers community will connect not only to Japan, but also to Southeast Asia and the world, where Next Generation Researchers from all over the world will share and enhance their passion for research. The World Congress will be held on December 13 and 14, 2025, and will accept applications from next-generation researchers from all over the world.<\/span><\/p>\n
