Science Castle 2024, a conference for junior high and high school students, started in 2012 as a \"gateway to success for researchers\" and is now in its 13th year! Every year, more than 1,000 junior and senior high school students with a passion for research participate from all over Japan and exchange their thoughts on research.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u3000The conference also provides an opportunity for the next generation to take the next step forward in their research through discussions that transcend generations and fields, with the participation of university and corporate researchers, graduate students, venture companies, and others.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u3000Anyway, I love research! I want people to know how interesting my research is! I want to have friends to do research with! I want to talk with researchers from universities and companies! We are looking forward to receiving entries from such junior and senior high school student researchers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Entry Eligibility<\/span><\/h4>\n

Oral presentations are for individual students.<\/b><\/p>\n

We will select candidates based on their documents and submitted videos, with an emphasis on individual passion.<\/span>Please note that changes of presenters after entry will not be accepted.<\/span>If you are working on a research project as a team, please select one principal investigator and submit your entry. Please note that the presentation and Q&A session on the day of the event will be presented by the single principal investigator.<\/span><\/p>\n

Poster presentations are open to both individuals and teams.<\/b><\/p>\n

One principal investigator will be selected to enter the competition, but all members of the team may make a presentation. A limit on the number of abstracts will be set for each competition, and document review will be conducted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Entries for oral presentations are requested to submit video materials!<\/span><\/h4>\n

At Science Castle, we value individual passion for research. For this reason, starting in FY2023, we are asking middle and high school students to submit a video for oral presentation entry to better understand their passion for research. In your video submission, please express your passion to the fullest, which cannot be conveyed through documents alone.<\/span><\/p>\n

*Videos may be viewed by judges and partner companies.<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Why did you decide to do this study and how did the study begin?<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Points of ingenuity and trial-and-error in conducting research, such as experimental methods and construction of the research environment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u2605 Castle Seminar for oral presenters will also be held! \u2605<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u3000This seminar, held for 24 students selected as oral presenters for the two domestic conferences, is an opportunity for them to present their research to each other and engage in friendly competition in preparation for the December conference. The seminar will provide an opportunity to further enhance their research through discussions with Liberace's Science Bridge Communicators and their peers from different fields.<\/span><\/p>\n
