The use of \"hydrogen\" as an energy source is now attracting attention. The Cabinet Office has announced that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be a \"hydrogen society trade fair,\" showing its enthusiasm both at home and abroad. Honda, an automobile manufacturer, plans to launch a hydrogen-fueled \"fuel cell vehicle\" in March of next year, and hydrogen energy is gradually becoming more widely used. On the other hand, in the classroom, the only thing that is taught is that hydrogen is a light, flammable gas produced by the electrolysis of water. In order to strengthen the relationship between the content of classes and society, it is necessary to constantly catch up with new technologies, and middle and high school students, who will lead the next generation, need to learn this lesson.
\nTherefore, at this year's Science Castle, we created a place for employees and junior and senior high school students to think together about using hydrogen as energy together with employees who are actually involved in the development of Honda's hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. We hope you will take advantage of this learning opportunity, which is not easily realized at school.<\/p>\n
