Project Outline

Polishing the surface of Dorodango makes the fine clay particles align and reflect light in a certain direction, making it appear shiny and bright. Polycrystalline, soft, and spherical, Dorodango is a very difficult material to polish. This project will challenge the production of Dorodango by combining the techniques cultivated by Mypox, a professional polisher, with the creative ideas of the participants. In this special project, participants will be exposed to the world of polishing, which is actually an active part of our daily lives, and they will also experience Dorodango polishing.
