Since the Meiji era, various manufacturing industries such as shipbuilding, the automotive industry, and heavy industry have developed in Hiroshima Prefecture. Hiroshima Institute of Technology has been fostering the manufacturing human resources that support these regional industries. To support junior high and high school students who take on the challenge of the fun and enjoyment of manufacturing, we are establishing research grants. We look forward to many applications!

A word from the person in charge
The number of people developing software, including AI and IT, has increased, but it is "manufacturing" that supports the Japanese economy. In 2026, we will hold a conference in Hiroshima with next-generation researchers who will shape the future of manufacturing. We look forward to announcing the challenges undertaken there.
